Snodland Moving in the Right Direction

It was great to meet with our local beat officer and a resident in Snodland today to discuss the issues that matter most to our community.

One of the most encouraging things to come out of the conversation was the significant reduction in anti-social behaviour across the town. Thanks to the hard work of local residents, Kent Police, and our partnership with Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, reports of anti-social behaviour are now at an all-time low. This is a real achievement and shows what can be accomplished when agencies work together and listen to the concerns of local people.

That doesn’t mean our work is done. Residents continue to raise concerns about boy racers and dangerous driving, particularly in some of the town’s hotspot areas. This remains an issue that we are determined to tackle alongside the police and council partners. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their neighbourhood, whether they’re walking through the town centre or trying to enjoy a quiet evening at home.

While challenges remain, it’s important to recognise just how far Snodland has come over the past year. The town is in a much better place than it was twelve months ago, and that progress is something we should all be proud of.

I’ll continue working with residents, Kent Police, and TMBC to ensure that the improvements we’ve seen are sustained and that we keep addressing the issues that matter most to local people.

If you have concerns about anti-social behaviour, speeding, or any other local issue, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
